brown chicken brown cow

so, this weeked was very exciting! I got to see my love, Jessica which was not nearly enough but I think we might study tomorrow morning before she leaves! We had to miss the Chee Weez on Friday which was very sad but I had to work late Friday and early Saturday and Joey was sick so we just went to dinner and movie with Misty and Mark which was fun, I'm always down for some Olive Garden! Joey really is the best, he came over on Saturday and helped me with Chance which I really needed, my patience was wearing thin by time he got there!

This is my last week as his nanny and I am really just ready to be done...I'm ready to break out my heels and dress cute for work everyday!

Hoping for a good week!

So, this week should be a really good one! I'll start it today with a job interview at an apartment complex as a leasing agent which will be good considering the job I am at now is just NOT working out for me! Then I have school which will be no fun but hey, I gotta go! But on Friday, Joey and I are going to hear one of my favorite bands...CHEE WEEZ!!! AND Jessica is coming in town!!! FINALLY! I cant wait to see her beautiful face! On Saturday, we are going to hang out and do something really fun, although I am not sure as to what that might be...dinner and a movie maybe?!? I almost forgot about my lunch/ shopping date with Lindsay on Wednesday...I get to go on a little one day vacation and head up to Mandeville and spend the whole day with my new friend which I am super pumped about! Then, only one more week until Spring Break! which I also cant wait for cause Joey and I are going to try and get away for the weekend or something so that should be fun! I'm so thankful for the amazing people that God has put in my life. I went to the Hub on Thursday and got coffee with Jaime before and that was really fun. the Hub has a great atmosphere...very Crosswalkish which I love! I only wish Brandon were here to enjoy it. At the Hub, Melissa talked about finding God and who He is to me personally and I think I am finding more and more that my God is a God of courage...I've needed a lot of it lately with the job position that I am in. But I am also finding that He is my God of peace and faithfulness. No matter what is going on in my life or where I am at, my God is always faithful. He is true to His word and never fails me. And in every trying time, I am blessed with so much peace. Peace that my mind can't even fathom.

I am also seeing God's blessings in my family. My 15 year old brother, Matthew, has just heard that his application was accepted to go to Africa on a mission trip with Refuge, the youth group at HPC. He's so pumped and I'm so pumped for him! I'm so stinkin proud of this kid. And all my brothers for that matter, they are all doing so well and trying hard in school...I love them all so much! Hopefully Christopher and Timothy will follow Matthew and make the decision at a young age to do what is right and try their hardest to keep their heads on straight!

Only 2 weeks until the Suns game and I'm super pumped! I can't wait to take all my brothers...they are going to love it! With the premiere of Shaq Diesel and the amazingness of Steve Nasty, I know it's gonna be such a fun game! Which reminds me, I have to go make my smack talk posters!

HPC at Bethany South

This is an email that I received from one of the pastors at Healing Place...please pass it along and make every effort to attend! They need our support and prayers!

Dear HPC,
As many of you may already know, Amy Stockstill (Joel Stockstill’s wife) has been in the hospital fighting for her life. (For those of you who don’t know, Joel pastors Bethany North.) We believe that God is calling us as a church family to stand with Bethany and with the Stockstill family during this time, so this Wednesday night (Feb. 13) we will not be having service at the Highland Campus. Refuge and PathFinders will also not be meeting. (If you’re registered for Reach for Recovery, class will begin on February 20 instead of this Wed.) Instead, we’re all going to join Bethany South (directions below) on Wednesday night to believe with them in prayer. The prayer service will begin at 6 p.m., and worship will begin at 6:30 p.m.
We’d like for as many people from HPC as possible to be there, so please help us to get the word out any way you can – email lists, blogs, etc. At this time, there is no need for volunteers.
Thanks!
Johnny

i love amazing weekends!

This weekend was so stinkin fun! Joey and I did pretty much NOTHING but it was great! We went to the LSU mens game on Saturday, thanks to our incredible friends Justin and Aimee who gave us some great tickets and that was so much fun! We played a good game but unfortunately couldn't pull through for the win :( We only lost by one point with like, 3 seconds left...it was intense! Church Sunday was pretty amazing also, I love having a boyfriend that goes with me and is hungry for God's heart! The update on Amy is that we are to now pray for a rapid recovery...two men of God came and prayed for her and by the power of God declared her healed...PRAISE GOD! God is faithful and mighty and will always overcome! ALL PRAISE AND GLORY BE TO HIM!
Ok, so...Tinseltown update...the 411 on the latest flicks, since I would know, that is all Joey and I do is watch movies...Meet the Spartans was pretty funny..."yo mamma is so ghetto, when she breastfeeds, kool aide comes out!"haha priceless!
and Beowulf was ok...kinda lame but for all who are obsessed with the poem then its fun to watch!
Pray for this job situation...this woman is pushing my patience and I don't know how much longer I can handle it...HELP!

yay!

So, I'm pretty pumped that I figured this out as quickly as I did...yes! This blogging stuff will be tons of fun, I can tell!

While I'm here, let me remind everybody to be in constant prayer for Amy Stockstill. We are believing in God's promise that He will heal her.
Joel and Amy

Jesus turned and saw the woman and said, "Be encouraged, dear woman. You are made well because you believed." And the woman was healed from that moment on. Matthew 9:22
